I drive mine daily but only clock up about 250km a week and its on gas too so it cost f..k all to run.

The misses drives the Au3 gas wagon daily and does about 700km a week, It has amazing fuel econ. so if we do a trip we use that. its also quiet and standard height so its very comfortable compared to my lowered and loud nf2 v8.

My XR8 used to be a daily driver, until the time I killed the heads... so I bought the fairmont to drive around in while I was rebuilding the engine.

Still have the fairmont, but I do drive the XR into work about once or twice a month.

Yep the ef v8 is my daily driver now, funny though cos the 97 pathfinder used to be, but with the price of diesel I might as well enjoy the ford 24/7

My xc gxl is daily driven, on gas, cheaper to run than a four cylinder.

Yeh, mine's driven daily ATM. Had it for 26 Months.
Been daily driven the last 12.
One thing i've noticed is my driving habits have changed.
When i used to jump in it for fun i'd be averaging 20Ltrs/100km.
Now i drive it daily it's overall average for the last 20,000km's is 14Ltrs/100km.
That's cruising and the odd flogging combined.
On a highway trip i got 10.3 From Narellan to Foster and back.

im building up a 2door XC at the moment. It has a V8 351. I used to drive it on a regular basis, but then bought a stock rough 6 cyl XP (170 cubic inch 6) to get round in. I found it more efficient to just have one car and a higher fuel bill, rather than upkeep on two cars. But i live in the country, it hardly used to see full on traffic, apart from a city cruise on a saturday night. When it is finished, it will be a daily driver again.

The 5.0 is my only driver, and its my daily driver. Work is less than 10 mins away, 3 by train and 15 on foot. I dont garage it cause i live in the city and dont have a damn garage. It gets washed every week, and well looked after. When the 427 goes in i will have to look at relocating to some where with a garage, as i couldn't stand it if it went walkabout, but thats me. On a recent trip up to grafton, it averaged 9.3l/100k and that was playing with a few stints to 120. So i am more than happy with economy, although driving it to work is killing me with a tank and a half a week.

Well said! Who cares about the fuel thing. If you love your V8 nothing else matters!
