Right. I6 as in, I six. Not 16 (sixteen). Or is it l6 (el 6).

I'm no idiot. Of course I know the diff between a V6 and an in-line. However I have never heard it being called a l6 (el 6).

Sorry, that sounds a bit rough in print. Not havin' a dig. Just wonderin?

I see now. When i type a capital i, it looks right. Then when i post it looks like a lower case L.
Confusing. I thought you were saying sixteen or el six. Soz.

i own a nc fairlane 5L 302 auto and suggest getting ur auto trans serviced as that may cause the lag (saying this as i am an apprentice mechanic) and if u want performance port and polish heads and that will give u more power not so nice on fuel but good for power as porting the heads alows for bigger valves which in turn means u and get more fuel and air in in your inlet valve and exhaust gasses with the bigger exhaust valve gets it out faster add a set of extractors to this mod with a decent muffler and you'll not only get heaps more power but a nice burble in the exhaust when u cut back.

Quoted for truth.

The Windsor is pricey to get good power from, but you don't mod cars to make money eh?

I6s are gay. I should know, I own two. :P

extractors, doesnt matter what brand as anything is better than the standard setup.

au v8 inlet manifold can be had cheap nowa days also.

under drives are cheap if you can find a 2nd hand set.

thermo fans off an ef/el with a thermo switch and a few relays.

do the airbox mod and then thats about it for cheap mods.

maybe find a 3.45 diff to suit also

cheers

My Tranny is definately a weak point.
It has a torque converter seal leak (pretty bad{getting the full overhaul on Monday}).
Hopefully this not only stops the poxy leak, but will also give me better response.
Great thoughts Brycey18.

Headers / exhaust and airbox will be a great improvement from stock.
