Yes, it's a good alternative to a BTR auto because it's inherently much stronger. It's(the AOD version) also a good choice for older non-electronic gearbox cars....they even do an FE bellhousing version.
Makes me laugh when I hear of Street Moron magazine suggesting turbo 700's for Falcon owners....they just prove they have no f**k idea!

How does it work? Change the pressure in the convertor??

Sod Variable Stall control. A fourspeed with full manual Valve Body and a transbrake. Thats what i have been looking for for a while

Well if you come right down to it...Sod auto's!
But for those that want em an AOD or 4R70 is a good choice and they have been available for years. This guy is the originator of tough AOD's....

Yep...you get what you pay for.
I know a guy who's spent $8000 on his AOD here in Australia. It's behind a 670hp Novi2000 blown 347 EA.
Personally I'd get a Richmond 5spd or Tremec TKO-II.
