Hey all,
Bought a walbro 255lph fuel pump off ebay a while back. Its been about nine months, and i put it in today. When i go to start the car it primes, but the car won't start.... I read on here somewhere that there a few different models, but i couldn't find the model no anywhere... The place i bought it from claimed it would fit my car, i made sure the fuel lines are around the right way, what else could it be??? |

I also had a case where the wires I hooked up were the wrong way around.. lol, primed and seemed like fuel pump was working, but no start.
Just a thought. On the other hand, ive redone my fuel pump wiring, cos I don't think its possible on the stock wiring? Cheers

Funny, lots of guys have been having probs with the Walbro's lately. Mine was a straight swap, but i did have to read the instructions to make sure i wired it correctly. Good luck and hope it is only a wiring issue

One of the Walbro pumps isnt designed to pump continiously, make sure u have the right one.

Yes the GSS341 is fine for you. Seeing it is priming it means it does have power, and the stock wiring should be more than capable of running these pumps. Was the stock pump working before installing this one? |

Thanks all for your help. I took it out and put it back together, when putting the fuel line to the engine on, i noticed the line had kind of a sleeve on it which was blocking the line off completely, so i chopped it, pushed it on, and the bloody thing started. Always the stupid things. Thanks again for your replys Simon |
