Hi I recently had my XR8 of the road while I saved money for parts to fix it. I replaced the plugs and coils and connected the battery back up as I had it disconnected for the three weeks while I had it of the road.Starts and runs good. however when I start driving it has the warning tone you get when the fuel is low or the door is not closed properly. doors are closed and plenty of fuel in the tank. It is a constant series of three five and one tone beeps.
If anyone has any suggestions would be great. I am assuming that the warning tone is only related to low fuel and open door. so will look at that but will have to pay the mechanic to fix it unless someone can help. |

Hi,
Is your air Bag light going out or staying on flashing? Groups of 5 beeps point towards airbag. If your airbag light isnt coming on at all will beep groups of 5 beeps. Groups of 5 flashes of the light and one flash of the light like you describe (code 51) B4 repeating equates to The seat belt pre-tensionoer, Grey plug next to the yellow plug. (playing around in my BA even got the same code minus the beeps 5 flashes pause 1 flash pause repeat) Attachment: Pic of the codes i got B2292 and B2691 ignore the error for my ACM and the HIM ones! Best Bet is to take the car and get it scanned for fault codes then were not taking a stab in the park and guessing. Rob

Thanks for the info. I will look some more I am thinking that because the battery was disconnected any electrical connection that have issues will take some time to work again. old age creeps on to all of us even 14 year old fords.

Good to hear, hopefully it stays gone XD IF it seems to come back and you decide to try re-seating connectors. disconnect your battery and wait a few minuets to allow any charge in the airbag system to discharge. Saves accidental deployments. Rob
