well i have a bit of money to play with, so this is what i will be doing to the NL fairlane 5.0L:

1. 17" AU XR Reps
2. Pacemaker Extractors
3. 2.5" cat back exhaust
4. EL GT snorkel
5. K&N Panel filter (unless u reckon pod is the go)
6. Mandrel bent 3" intake pipe (not sure, as it is only a short distance)
7. Superlow kings
8. Front and rear sway bars (non-adjustable)
9. Diff change to 3.45 or 3.7 (not sure which will be better?)
10. Shift Kit
11. DBA slotted rotors w/benedix advanced
12. Underdrive pulley
13. Larger ignition leads
14. iridium spark plugs

is there any thing else that i should be getting to go with these mods..

there are more on the list, but i will have to wait for more cash :(

so what do u reckon? is this list good enough for the time being or should i redirect the $$$ on something else.. All suggestions welcome, except NOS, not a fan of it..lol

actually, just wanna know how can you tell if there are different extractors on there, as the old man reckons there is aftermarket ones on the car already.

3.7s will be good for a 6. Don't go superlows, it looks hot as I agree, but you'll hit anything and everything, even if you're going slow.

Ive got superlows on mine and ive only ever scraped on a driveway that was on a steep hill. Oh and when on full lock going up a driveway a bit fast the tyre rubbed.

Did you read the post on here recently, about filters, dont bother with K&N, stock paper filters are better. superlows might be cool, or sick as some would say  but will be a problem, twinturd might be the exception, think about practcality instead of looking cool,

An NL Fairlane is a bit longer than an ED ELi...

everything you listed there seems good. If it was me id slap all the money in the engine so the NL pulls harder.

That info was based on a single test which goes against a number of other tests, so I don't think you can conclude that paper filters are better from that. I have also personally seen improvements from K&N filters on the dyno, nothing huge but still an improvement.

sounds like you have some money to toy around with.
i'd throw more money into the motor itself if it were me.

i rekon the k&n is fine, bros running one in his explorer and does at least 500 k's a week and a fair bit of 4wd'n and he cleaned it the other day, the top side looked clean as new. the under side was completly black.. so i think it does a fair amount of filtering.. (btw he had only cleaned it a month or 2 prior to this aswell)
