Hi guys, after a bit of feedback/pro's and con's of what I should go for next.

Have done as much as I can to the ghia without forced induction or stroking the motor so far.
I'm off my P's in 1 month..

I was thinking either spend some good dollars on a blower/rebuild for the ghia now or a BA XR8 ute or XR6 turbo ute.

I'm currently swaying to the XR8 as I wouldn't mind an updated car plus it's a new project!! plus its a ute!

cheers

hey

well, it depends on what you want, obviously you are in the market for a ute!!

BA/BF's are great cars. Personally I wouldnt buy a standard xr8/xr6t or so, they are pretty cheap and nasty inside. gt/gtp etc are a bit better finished off

that or, as you said a blower set up for your ghia, at least it will be a little different to the many many ba xr8,6 utes running round. plus its a ghia = super comfy

as u can tell im a little biased towards comfyness these days, not just get up and go (cant beat the xr6t utes for that....)

just my 2c

Maybe go for a larger cam and/or alloy heads to go on the 302, or like you said go to 347 ad then add alloy heads and a cam change.

As spuDTE said there are that many BA utes etc goin around these days, i'd much rather see a worked EF/EL Ghia 5.0L getting around.

Also as far as not beating an XR6T ute for get up and go, my little windsor ate up one Friday night and it was definately modified going by the awesome sound it was making. Was a great feeling knowing it could get up over an XR6T, not to mention a modified one, couldnt imagine the look on his face.

Anyway go the Ghia mate, much more style than any BA IMO.

yeh very true, cant beat comfort and leather!!
i was also hunting around for an AU pursuit ute/TE50 with the 5.6 but they're very rare!

Still I'm looking to spend around 28000 and under so i think the gt/gtp is outta my price range.

Nice work mate. ;)

BA-BF aren't my cup of tea, I'd rather see a worked EL/XH-AU

Cheers Dave.

I actually had two fall victim to the 5.0L in two nights, couldnt believe it. Both BA XR6T's, both Black, one sedan and one ute. Sedan seemed like stock and was auto, this was a walk in the park. Ute was modified and manual, was abit more of a challenge but still couldnt get closer than my rear quarter, was also wearing the plates "EAZY AZ" , he may have to re-think them now.

Sorry gunit18 for goin abit off topic, but its all in the plan of convincing you to keep modifying the windsor  .

Heh good stuff. They'll be going home and having a think I'd say. :D

Gunit18, I'd suggest picking up an AU XR8 ute and build yourself a Pursuit clone... You can achieve similar/same results as the factory item. A lot easier to find as well.
