The BA one is the same as AU XR without the logo... 6 and 8 are the same anyway.
If you went to the 6 cyl forum you'll find about 24,000 threads on snorkels lol.

I got Clayton a Tickford snorkel for his EL XR6 and he had the same problem, yet others have fitted them no probs.

I even melted and molded the snorkel in the same spots as the old one to make it fit and it still put up a fight. Might need a ba\bf box.

The EL GT snorkel is a perfect fit for an EF/EL 5L. AU XR snorkel requires modifications to fit.

So if you want the snorkel that fits straight on without modifications and not worrying if it has the tickford logo or not, EL GT snorkel is the one for you.

well there ya go haha confusion again... so there is a difference between the ef xr8 and the ef 5l ghia??? im assuming there shouldnt be but if your saying the el gt and ef xr8 have the same part number then that means there is a difference because im sure the ef 5l and the el gt are not the same because if they were then i wouldnt be looking for a bigger snorkle!!

ahhh back to square one....

All i was saying is dont go to ford for a el gt snorkel because you will get a el xr8 snorkel which is the same as a ef. Secondhand would be your best bet for a gt one good luck.

BOSXR8

The best factory snorkel that will fit directly on without modifications is the EL GT snorkel.

Part number EFTVE 9A624 A

I have one fitted to my EL Ghia V8 and I can confirm that I used the above part number to get it from Ford. Think it was around $45 - $50 if memory serves me correct.

Don't be confused. This is the one to get.

I also have an EL Ghia V8 and have an EL GT Snorkel fitted. They used to be $40-$45 from ford.

I have seen them occassionally on ebay, and i think Ferntree Gully Auto Salvage used to carry a few.
