Theres a black box hidden just inside the bumper bar on the front left hand side of the car.
its got hoses going to & from it & also it has electrical connected to it. Does anyone know what this does specifically. Also mine makes a weird kind of noise (almost like a spark plug lead disconnected but a little louder). Any help, info etc would be greatly appreciated. thx SL |

Are they metal lines instead of hoses? Could be your abs pump

It's fairly normal as they get older and doesn't cause any harm. The idle / vibration problem is seperate and could be anything. If the car is well serviced, i'd be looking to Engine Mounts or Harmonic Balancer.

Most forum members who have posted have pointed me to the HB being the cause of the vibrations. I'll see very very soon. |
