Ride: AU II XR8 ute but with lucky 220

Location: north coast
NSW, Australia

Hey guys wondering what type of exhaust works best for an Au xr8 ute i need some more rwkws not overly fussed on sound as the cam and head combo ive got sounds seet as.
I got jiped with a custom exhaust system i got the locl carline to make up- currently is a twin 2.5" press bent with hi flow lukey mufflers. And she's a bit ruff hey.
So i need to know what better and what gives better Genuine gains- a single 3" or twin 2.5 mandrel bend exhaust?
Now no one on the mid nth coast has a mandrel bender ive found out, and if wanted 2.5" would have to i guess would be a cut, weld and grind job of 2.5" mandrel bends.
Or get a 3" in the box job?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. * Also sorry if this has been covered heaps already*

Get a twin 2 1/4" mamdrel bent system.
1 5/8" primary Tri-Y headers and decent cats.

twin 2.5 inch is to big unless you are planning some serious power mods down the track.

as XH5LWEPN said a twin 2 1/4 would suit best with a set of tri-y extractors to help maintain low down grunt.

as for the mandrel bending most places will use pre bent mandrel bends and weld them together this is nothing dodgy, its just a mandrel bender is worth BIG $$$$

atm she has pacemaker tri y's and stainless hi flow metal core cats.
mod's to date are e303 racing cam, ported and polished gt40p heads, ported and polished upper and lower explorer intake manifolds, bbk intake manifold spacer, 70mm Tickford throttle body, 1.72 yella terra RR's trickflow valve train upgrade kit, new lifters, rods were still good- aircon airbox with 12" filter -just fits Lol, and xcal 1 but before the final tune i want the exhaust done properally cause atm thats my biggest restriction bar the heads Lol. Am only at 199rwks ahhhhhh i want an extra 10rwkws with new exhaust and tune. that said fuel ratio is at bloody 12 needs to up around 15? and timing is bloody at 24 should be 33? The guys who did the work have caused me nothing but headaches. so and help is appreciated ;) are the single 3" better than twin 2.5"? as im more inclinded to get an off the shelf number than have some muppet stuff me around again. Can get a lukey 3" for $450. And dont wanna travel more than an hr to get the work done. And the mid nth coast port macquarie, kempsey and coffs harbour dont have a lot of options....

i went a single 3" on the mine with a set of paceies i think it made a difference and it has a pretty good note 2 it. But is it better then a twin 2 1/4 i can't honestly say. I had a twin 2/4 but removed it after i dropped the ute and realised that the leafs were holding the exhaust up a little bit 2 high.
