hahaha....i agree....i should find a new friend....lol...nah i got just my exhaust modified today....as it is a windor motor...it is already 2 1/2 inch standard so i got the two mufflers taken out and got a hotdog and a smaller muffler put on with twin tips....sounds a bit louder but when i open it up it sound tuff....very good note to it.....now i gotta save up for the headers and the unichip then off to the dyno for tuning.....

then ill run the type r

:):):):)

cheers for the advice and the stats fellas

I have no idea what a unichip is worth, but if there's not much difference between it and twEECer, go the twEECer! They're about 900 - 1000 I think...

Being an AU im pretty sure it can just be flash tuned. TwEECer is more of an E-series thing.
Not too sure why you'd bother with the uni-chip though. For what its worth i wouldnt be paying for it just to tune a car with extractors and exhaust, make a few more modifications before you worry about tune IMO.

there are 2 differnt integras you may be refering to

1. regular VTEC VTi-R 125kw 1176kg 0-100 = 8.0sec

2. type-R 141kw 1087 kg 0-100 = 7.1sec

the type-R was released oct99 and so your mate may only have a VTiR not a type-R

these figures are from motor magazine road tests

the AU fairmont ghia took 0-100 in 7.9sec

so if its a genuine type-R you loose...if its a VTiR then its anyones game

well according to wheels magazine, an integra type r is slower than a BA xt, going by those figures, i'd say its yours for the win.

you cant really compare motor and wheels figures because they test differently..

any way when motor tested the BA XT it did 0-1000 in 7.2sec so the AU V8 is a fair bit slower

If you can afford some decent ratio diff gears bloody do it, you'll blow ya load at how much better the car goes, and it's stealth, Integra dude won't know your cars been modified unless you tell him. Choice out with the niggas bro.

yeh...not too sure on the unichip as yet....they say it'll increase my hp by 20-25 and that why i thought it would be a suitable mod as you can tune the car for racing and for stock use as well....also it has many other features that why i thought it could be beneficial too me...

im goin to have a look at the diff ratios sometime next week as they would be really good for my take off...im still sussing out the extractors as well so which ever is cheaper...it will come first....

cheers for stats everyone....appreciate it....i wanna beat this integra so i can sow his mouth shut....lol...cause he goes to me "ive upset alot of 5ltrs in my time" so i wanna prove to him that NO RICER BEATS A FORD!!!!!!!

Im thinking if you are budgeting then you need to keep it simple. Extractors and a twin 2 1/4 system, plus a diff change should see a noticeable difference to overall speed from take off to top end. The exhaust helps you most noticeably in the higher revs and the lower diff helps your take off. I wouldnt get a chip or tune unless I have a better flowing intake and exhaust system at the very least.
