Bought it today, pick up next saturday! 96 ef2 fairmont ghia v8 in a kind of purple colour. Completely standard with 180,000 kms. I've got big plans for it as soon as I sell my BA XT I will be building a fairly aggressive motor for it. But first step is to lower it as it sits bloody high!

yeah, i wanted a V8 and couldn't afford a BA. Don't much like AU's. Could have got a EL but I like this just as much.

Nice choice, i would have stayed with the BA, but there is many years of fun to be had with a 5.0 Fairmont Ghia. I know cause i was just gonna hang on to mine for 12months then bail, but look at my plans now.lol

Maybe he wanted a car that didn't weigh the equivalent of an M1A1 Abrams Battle Tank.
:D
I'd go for a EF 'Mont Ghia V8 over an XT as well...
More money for mods :D

Noice, its your money n your car; get what you want I say!

Nothing wrong with a V8 ghia, would have gone EL myself, but when you think of it; if your gonna change a fair amount of the car around the AL isnt THAT much of must have lol.

Any to those who say "you went from BA to EF" read the 1st fkn post n get over it; if we all made the same decisions we'd all have identical cars n taste - how boring..

yeah when I pick up the car I will post some pics - I don't really understand the big deal about going backwards? I mean one is a 6 the other a V8 but frig each to their own, ba xt is common as anything v8 fairmont is not so much. I can't wait until I get the built motor under the bonnet, the xt will be far from my mind then. Don't get me wrong I love the BA but its not a V8.
