i have an ef futura inline 6 and the only mods i have are extractors and a 2.5 inch exhaust. i found this awesome looking el xr8 and it had the best custom sound system, anyways this guy has a 3 inch exhaust and extractors, i took it for a drive and gave it a kick in the guts on a straight piece of road and i swear my futura would leave it for dead to at least 100km/h. i did notice though the extractors only have 1 inch pipes coming out and my extractors are 1.5 inch in diameter. would this be chokin his car or what coz i thought seeing though his car has more power and torque and is only like 50kg heavier. either that or my car is a freak car, i dont know all my mates are holden fags so i cant compare it to another ef futura. its and awesome car tho, low kays sounds real tough but just no balls 0-100, i have no doubt its top end would be better than mine but yeah, around the city off the line acceleration is better for me. if i get it my ef will be the supercharger fund hahaha then ill be havin no worries there. but if anyone knows why this the case let us know ok.

I have no idea..

But my elxr8 when compared to my mates elxr6 is identical in first gear (both manual), but once i hit second gear, i start to leave him..

His mods (EL XR6):
Extractors, 2.5in exhaust, hi-flo cat, ported & polished head.

My mods (EL XR8):
Pacemaker tri-y's, 3in exhaust, hi-flo cats, ss induction, bmc filter.

I find 1st gear ordinary actually, i mean the torque is awesome but its not the type of power that will push you faster, once i hit 2nd gear tho im moving well n truely, plus there is a big kick in the back in the 1st to 2nd gear change which in itself adds about 10km/hr to the speedo instantly abover the normal acceleration, loverly! :P

Why not just have a run against it and see if your car's really quicker?

Its nothing to sneeze at, but imho a supercharger might finish it off nicely lol!

200kw fairlane isnt much when late model v8s come with 220-300 std in domestic cars, then the euros do better again.

I guess im being a snob as youd put it lol!

the gear box is heavier but go top end he will chop you at 160km if you have the balls to drive that fast try to go to a drag strip as I try not to endorse top end street racing as the poor porche at bathurst f**k up coming off a bridge at high speed
