hi whats your opionion?
myself and a few of my mates where having a "discussion" about cars same year same power but complete different to drive and performance.
for a example when i bought my ba xr8 i test drove 5 different ones and all same age with the same amount of k's but the performance of the 5th one that i drove was completly better accelartion was noticbly different and smoother the lot all manual.
i have heard rumours that a few of the xr8's picked up the 290 version is there any truth behind this ?

yeah mate there is the Boss 290 and the boss 260 all of the GT's GT-P's Pursuits and Super Pursuits came with the 290's and the GT Cobra was a 302 think and all those engines are all the 5.4litre unlike commodore how they have less engineering skills and made the 6.0litre with only 308

Let me know the calibration code of your PCM and I'll be able to find out if it's cal'd for a GT engine. If it isn't then it isn't a 290kw engine.

Settle down sindrome.

My comment has FA to do with all that crap (Exterior/Interior/Safety) you are referring to now. Dont really know how you got onto that. You were bagging out the engineering/design of the 6.0L and dismissing the 308kW like its nothing, if my memory serves me right. Sounds like pretty good out of the box power to me.

I stand by my comment (from an obvious unbiased point of view unlike others), the 6.0L can go punch for punch with the 5.4L weather you are talking standard, mild or wild mods, forced induction and/or stroker.

You can get an easy 400kW NA (unstroked) using off the shelve parts with a mild cam & heads combo, stroke them to over 7 litres if you wish, and get ridiculous power with forced induction & N2O. Sounds like less engineering skills to me.

Like it or lump it the LS-2's do haul a***.

I didnt think it was that complex. Guess you must have your mind on other things, such as which sheep you are going to shag next.
