 Post subject: WILL THESE VALVE SPRINGS FIR MY GT40P'S

Looking at these on ebay US and it says they fit most but it say=s u need to no the tips sizes that 8 are 393 and 8 are 481.

Question is do my gt40p's have these length valves to suit

do you have exhaust valve rotors fitted?then yes-------------mine dont and i used CROW PARTS

My engines a au3 xr8 engine

not sure on your spec,check with a manual,spring sizes,loads and valves.valve rotors turn the valves on the exhaust valve-for better or worse on the seat

If your engine is truely an AU3 XR8 220 then they do not have standard GT40P valve tip lengths. Earlier AU XR8's and all non-XR8 V8's did have those valve tip lengths.

The AU3 XR8 220's had a very bad combination of springs and retainers. The springs had 4-6mm of slop in the factory retainers. I ended up choosing a Crane retainer and Comp Cams spring.
