thinking of getting a redback catback put into my EF fairmont v8 5.0 (w/el2 xr8 engine and exhaust) and would like to see what it sounds like.
I've been told there are 3 varities - a muffler, hotdog and straight thru. can someone explain the differences? I understand straight through will be the loudest. is there only one type of reback catback for the EL 2? (ive called a few exhasut shops for quotes). I've already checked out youtube btw I'm sure there are plenty of people out there with the systems - if someone could make a video that'd be awesome. Cheers!

I have a NF 5.0 with a 3" sports cats and Advance headers and a smallish Redback muffler with no resonator and it sounds pretty damn good......even if I do say so myself.

I had a redback cat back, single 3", 1 muffler and hotdog, on my S3 AU XR8... It was mean as, sounded really tuff, and when it burnt in got a really nice "wharble" to it... And it wasnt that expensive either.
