Fuel pressure is good. compression good, manually checked timing(spark plug out tdc compression, screwdriver in plug hole and see no 1 plug fire check timing mark on pully) No go. spray aero start into cranking engine, no go. Can smell fuel when cranking, Good strong blue spark from coil.(1" long) Nearly the same from plug leads. Changed computer. NO go. any ideas welcome, Thanks also car sat for a week i was away, when I came home and tried it again no 5 & 7 were tring. extractor tubes hot. |

have you checked the injectors are firing correctly, and is the firing order correct? remember EFI Windsors run the Cleveland Firing order IIRC

Are you still using the salt and pepper connections just behind the intake?? Water in there means no go.

you have placed the leads on correctly 1 2 3 etc etc, i recently change the plugs on my six and muddled up the leads it wouldn't fire correctly. just a suggestion.

Happy to say moter running fine. Only thing not changed, plugs.
Put plugs in .fired straight up. I find it hard to believe that washing could cause this problem but seems to be so. I M happy so I dont care. The old saying comes to mind,,, Do the easy things First. Thanks everyone

Hey nice machine..
This is a long shot but have fuel lines been disconnected and maybe refitted in reverse? I had similar problem on my XG ute in my gallery, Everything checked out ok but refused to start. AS it happens a friend of mine did some work headers and disconnected them and replaced incorrectly, took a while to figure out, a simple mistake overlooked..
