noisy lifter? will go for ages. but one day if you get a missfire it may have collapsed. they aren't hard to change though

how easy is it? can you get it through the side of the block or do you need to remove the head?

need a long magnet. if your lucky and they haven't worn excessively and mushroomed over you can pull the rocker cover, rockers and pushrods out and pull them out

if its alloy head you can pull the rocker cover off and get them out with a magnet or bent coat-hanger.. if it is iron head... the head has to come off

The cams are known for being a bit soft from XD to XF. They wore out out pretty quick when people were too lax in servicing.

they are really particular with the running in of the cam, have to use very good running in lube and oil, and adhere to running in the cam properly

bought new lifters and once i got home kinda realised can't be my lifters because compression is fine in all cylinders its more of a tapping/knocking noise but like i said compression is fine but when i rev the engine a bit it starts to splutter any ideas? i was thinking that my rockers might be a tiny bit loose i know its something to do with the 4th cylinder just would like an idea of what it could be before i go replacing everything and ending up with a rebuilt engine

was my bloody rockers on 1st cylinder loose as a hilton sisters furry bits! was worn that much it was sitting about 4mm lower then the bolt at its tightest which also leads me to believe it happened from lifter problems not getting any oil into it, any idea's where i can get some cheap rockers?
