Hi guys I have been playing with the idea of building a race car and every one I see is running a carby and would like to know why?? the rules are pretty much open to do what ever. only thing is your not allowed to dry sump... and the carby can be no bigger than 350cfm and the intake has to remain stock looking... I think the biggest let down to the XF efi is the airflow meter. but I can run a aftermarket ecu so I don't have to run that anymore.. I'm thinking of doing this to the motor..
lighten the crank ( i have done it before and have taken about 10KG off ) bigger sump 40thou over pistons deck the block and take as much as i need off the head to get to 11.1 comp take the ports out go 351W valves double valve springs 3/8 push rods with rolla rockers electric water pump and fan custom extractors and 3" exhaust XR6T injectors Sard fuel reg 044 pump 3/8 fuel lines EMS 6860 ECU just asking peoples thoughts and why are people using a carby if you can only go to 350cfm??? |
