Hey guys.
When i start getting in the to V8's i was wondering if this would work. I want to put a 351 into the project car. Can it be as easy as pull the 302 out and out the 351 in? I hear you have to do a few mods like the radiator and more. Is this true, if so what exactly? I also hear that if you get the 302. Put a smaller crank in with longer conrods and a different cam you can bring it out to 351 without boring and such. Will this also work? in theory i thought it would work as the crank is smaller and the rods are longer so the piston had to travel longer. Therefore getting a 351.

the 302 / 351 Cleverland share the same block so its just a matter of swaping engines, no need to change or modify anything from memory.
Modifying the throtle linkages and the like may be needed, depending on what carb you use i guess. To change a 302 Cleverland to a 351, all is needed is to drop in 351 crank and con-rods. |
