I have decided against the 351 Cleveland going into the XA ute due to daily requirements and economy. I have bought a EL GLI sedan and want to swap all the running gear into the ute.

I have read a couple of topics regarding this modification, so from what I have read I need XG lower base plate mounts and EA- ED upper engine mounts. Hope that is right? My question is why can't I use the EL upper engine mounts?

I don't think you need to worry about the different parts (upper and lower mounts) Just use XG mounts.
