just a bit of advise eb ef el au ba starter motor will fit as well

compared an ED starter motor to the old one out of my XF and they seem a lot different in size so i dont think any starter motor will fit

you can fit a starter motor from xa(even earlier) up to ba.6 cyl.. no problems
pls read off-topic-f6/pictorial-histroy-of-the-falcon-i6-starter-motor-t86015.html?hilit=starter motor the only difference from old to new is that their smaller.

if you check the bolt pattern you will see you can use it the pattern is the same i would replace with a later model one
