primarily the same block so should bolt in place except for where you would've had to slightly harass the sump a bit i'd say.

otherwise its the same motor as the xh

Hey Grumbles, I have got to the stage where I won't do this normally but you have helped me out before so If you want I can go out and take a pic of the crossmember in my XH so you can make a comparison. Let me know mate. 8-)

No worries mate. Didn't know if you still had access to an XH or not :lol: . I would imagine they are the same (but my imagination is pretty good: for example I imagine my Datsun is a good ute :lol: ) as they did have the same engine so it's sort of a case of 2+2 might actually = 4 for a change :wink:

XH has a completely different X-member.

XG = Steering box
XH = Rack

Im pretty sure the sump has more room in an XG than the XH,

You'd have to measure the sway bar.

The XH has a removeable K frame ( for want of a better word ).
The XG doesn't have a removeable X member, unless you cut it out with a 9" grinder or oxy-acetylene torch....lol

The donks are basically the same, just have to swap over sumps and oil pick ups.
