I have AU3 XR8 front seats that I want to fit to my ZK. There's plenty of info out there on making them fit but not much about the rear. Anyone done this?
If it's too hard then I can get the original ZK seat retrimmed in AU XR material.

Firstly you will have to De Fairlane me ZK ? ZB ZC ZD, THen ZJ Was like An Xb ?? I Think ZK, Give me the X Series Brother.... I guess all you have to remember is a fairlane Is just a Ute, Panel Van, Station Wagon, Fairlaine. Al built on the same long wheelbase platform. Thats why traditionally the ute Wagon Fairlane arrive a month or two before or after the corresponding X series Falcon....This remained the case up intil I suppose the death of the Fairlane, then wagon. Yet we still have the UTe. Which wont be for long. As we wont have a Falcon, Then 2 or so years later commodore. I reckon you will have to re cover the ZK. Regards Daz

use xf/zl rear back as that will give you fold down centre for long items to go through from the boot, the au rears are 4 piece with mounting points that zk's don't have and zk's have the diagonal braces that would defeat the purpose of split fold rears.

Cheers rusty. I'm not really fussed about the split fold part. More trying to decide which way to go, buy an AU XR rear seat with the correct trim or retrim the ZK one.
