AUs are getting fairly cheap, thats true, but they'll always be ugly :P
As for the panel differences, its really not that important, unless you're really accident prone.

I've always liked the xf, and for me the xg is the go. Only because I like the classic lines of them, but you get the newer technology thrown in at factory.

Heaps better than the XF I had, but to be honest they don't compare to any other mid ninties vehicle, they are dinosaurs body and handling wise - but hey, everyone likes older cars right?

I've got a xr6 model, only cause they only made 1070 of them, so i guess there can't be too many left in NZ now a days.
That makes me feel special while it bump steers and drifts over the road, and gets beaten at the lights by any modern hatchback, and drinks gas like a space shuttle compared to any modern cars!

But hey, if ya like burnouts, theres nothing better!

apparently the XH door handles are different to XD to XG. i drive an XF ute,a 1992 model, one of the last XF'S ever built. from what iv heard you can install EF/EL rear door handles on XH doors?? someone correct me if im wrong...buy an XF they going cheap.

Not by much! Where the lever on the door handle operated a linkage on XF's and XG's its sort of pressed on whereas on the XH's its held on by a rivet/screw. I've had mine five years and never had to replace a handle. My XF went through about two a year....

Ah the debate rages on....I've had a XE, XF and now an XH V8. Probably never part with it to be honest. XH2 s packs and XR's got the suede interior...its quite nice...mine has suade door cards, carpet, buckets etc etc.

I'm a big fan of the XH shape, thats what does it for me. The fact that its a E series V8 is a huge bonus and hey it comes with a few luxuries too. No model came with electric windows but thats not hard to fix.

Without rambling on....go for a XH if you like the shape. If you are lucky you might find a V8 out there...

I had the same problem, until I did the cab extension job. Solves a multitude of problems, and makes the X-series a lot nicer to drive. 8-)

Is there any difference series I to II, I've heard rumours that series II have
5kw more from adv timing. But I've put my ute up agianst sedan and ute that were series
II and they were the same. Only reason the sedan was Qiuck of the lights was cause he had a
Auto but by mid 3rd I was ahead.
