Check the wear of the hinges.....if the door drops when you open it, then that is a major part of the problem with breaking door handles.
My father had an XD for 13 years, never broke a handle.....coz the hinges were always lubed as were the door latch mechanisms.

my XF ute broke its door handles.....thanks to my ex gf. i heard the XG and XH handles are completley different.
