Howdy,

looking at buying a 1990 XF Ute with 230 000 kms on it.
body straight as, good paint. toneau cover, good interior, bull bar, spotties, 140 lt fuel tank,cd player.
think thats about it.
also comes with rwc.
asking $3200.
does it sound like a good deal?
seems alot better than alot of the other utes ive looked at around here.
cheers

what sort of bullbar? Is it an xf or an xg?
Not that it matters cos if you can pick up any ute in reasonable nik for under 5 grand you've done well!

its an XF.
i would prefer a XF over an XG because they seem more reliable to me.
have no idea what type of bullbar it is bt its pretty chunky looking.

G'day

just check for rust around the 1/4 window at the bottom.

Sounds like a good car, go for it.

Cheers

Be careful with the bullbar. Check the way it mounts especially if it is a steel one. If they aren't mounted properly the can crack all the bumper mounts which is a major hassle to fix. Wot I meant was is it a 5 poster? If so welcome to the club (its a pretty exclusive club on this site. I am the president, vice president, treasurer etc etc.ie I seem to be the only member!!!)

Have a look at the front of my ute and count the verticle posts. Mine has 5 and is considered to be one of the largest bullbars you can get (for a ute) Value of around 3k! But nothing gets in the way. And it is handy for pushing other cars around!!

Lol xhute, ill soon be applying for that club

Got a bullbar on order for me XF nice big 5 poster only $1500 and currently making my skirts...didnt realise how expensive those led's were lol

But back to the original post, yeah that ute sounds alright, as long as theres no MAJOR rust spots, you will always get surface rust in the tray, but as long as you cant poke you finger, hand, head through it, its all good.
