G'day

Seeing as i'm replacing all the bushes in the front end of my xf i figured i better do the inner bushes on the upper and lower control arms.
How hard are they to replace? Ive been told they are hard to get out but i'm not sure.

Cheers

nolathane make complete new arms (part # 45900) not exchange for the bottom of your falcon...
Repco or the local equiv should stock them and usually they are about the same price as buying the bushes only...
If repco wants too much for them ask them for E9 pricing (code for trade)
cheers...

hi

lower control arm bushes requirer a press or some method of pushing them out and pushing them in making sure you dont damage the arms

top control arm bushes can be knocked out in a vise with a hammer and chisel but once again you need a press to push them back in or you best bet is to remove the arms all out and buy the necessary parts and pay a workshop to remove and fit the bushes for you if you have no press

my opinion original ford bushes are the best

depends what area your in i cant do the pressing for you

have fun

cya

Thanks guys

The cheapest i can get the upper arms for from nolathane is 165, the lower arms 218.

I can get all the bushes for about 100, so i reckon its heaps cheaper to buy the bushes and press em in.

FPV GTP, i have sent you a pm

Cheers

A tip with the lower control arm bushes is to give them a tack of weld so they dont pop out. Be sure to cool as soon as possible so not to melt the nolathane too much.
