Hi guys, I am after advice there are some real wizards on these conversions and for someone like me with a small to moderate amount of ability good advice would be greatly appreciated. I am considering putting a ef/el xr6 in to my 96 xh column auto. I want to keep the column shift are there any foreseeable problems with this plan?. Essentially I am wanting to drop the xr6 engine in and keep everything else from the xh like ecu wiring loom auto box etc. Can I keep the xr6 intake manifold or is that going to have to be swapped for the xh's? Not sue if xr6 sump needs to be changed or modified either. Thanks guys.

Easiest to use the XH intake, distributor and loom. If it stays as an auto, the column shift is fine, if you need to keep it. Sump is the same, just a bit of tweaking on the knock sensor, from memory, otherwise its a very straight forward swap.
