I think you have to use the mounting runners off the XG or get seats out of an XH.

Or drop some EB/ED XR seats in there.
I am looking for a pair now myself ... I want a bit more support ... and the XG "S" seats are like a big plump armchair ... with no support at all.

D'oh! If only you had known I had a pair of EL seats for sale two months ago. I had them on eBay - sold the pair for $50. You could easily pick up a pair from Jolly Rogers self serve wreckers in Dandenong South (greens road) for about $60.
The guys who bought the seats off me travelled all the way from Bendigo - I live in Cheltenham. The seats went into their EL falcon (ex-taxi) with the bench seat removed, thus the seats bolted in funny (bolts near trans tunnel different on Bench seat models than standard bucket seat models). Seats were supported (on the inside edge) by a couple of bricks! Lots of empty cans and food wrappers in their car - no carpets at all.
