Found a nice looking XC Fairmont Wagon. It's white, with 12 slots, 302, column auto, ex country ambulance!

My question is, how can i find out what gearbox and diff it has, and what's the ID code for a 302 in an XC?

Is it likely to be FMX+LSD?

Any help is appreciated.

I think the engine code for a 302 was P. If its a 302 it should have a c4 trans.Have alook at the pan on the trans c4s have the dip stick tube that goes into the drivers side of the pan. lsd diffs had a tag on the filler plug and most have a sticker on the drivers side front door piller.
