Just putting it out there (title). I am thinking of it and would like to see a photo of one. I dont intend on mounting to the engine or it working as intended, purely cosmetic. any help.

Instead of cosmetic try do it right i think spend some time with it and have it connect and working, i have seen 1 fitted to same engine as you but I would think it will look good with it.

If its not connected to the engine it wont shake. Think about how they got their name.If its just stuck to the bonnet it will be a faker a genuine insult to the original item.

Sorta wont be a shaker just sitting on the bonnet, more like a way to make something awesome ricey
agreed, do it right and hook her up, be interesting to see.

if this is ur plan then how does the shaker "SHAKE"
hnestly ill agree with the rest of the boys here put in a lil effort for a big gain an do it properly bit hard to do cosmetic like that cus isnt there so much of a gap around the shaker to the bonnet but in ur case then wat u gonna attach it to which means it would in the end look like s**t sorry not arguing ur opinion or ur decision jsut trying to give a little advice and to do it that way is definetaly an insult to FORD u may aswell just go and put a full hectic wrx bonnet scoop on it:P anyways just my 2 cents dont take it the wrong way just my opinion Drifty

fair go boys,
I asked to see a picture of something like it or whether something similar had been done. I for one am not a bloke who wont have a go vrblou02, thanx for your 2c ,but like many others here every single mod of my own being done on my own, in my own shed, from the full engine build, NOS, to custom dual exh. etc etc I have had shakers on all my past tuff fords and agree they have there place. Thanx for pointing out the obvious OZBMX, falc94. Grumblexr6, could you remember where you saw it, whether it was on a the street, a site or mag. fordebgt93, nice I llike it. I am getting ready for a big weekend away and wanted to do something different, I saw a polished alloy setup that fastened nicly to the bonnet and thought I might grab a bonnet, cut a hole as I have issue with the engine clearance to the hood. so while it would be gr8to have it hooked up to the intake I cant see a realistic option of connecting it to the intake with the setup I have. Thanx for all the comments , I might save the idea until I throw a carb on it. |

This is exactly what I had planned for my wagon with the 180* bend with MAF attached. Looks good both outside and under the bonnet. Well done!!

I very much like that. Very Very much.
What did you do for the air cleaner element? Must be in a box somewhere under the shaker Id assume.
