Hey all, im wanting to take the dive and looking at buying a XC 351 auto.
Just would like some info on them, anything and everything you know about them!
What i should expect to pay for 1 in good nick.
Also what are they like for long trips- as in adelaide - perth??

Hmmm, well the price for them is really hard to answer. Check all car sales websites for an idea.
I got an xc 2 door 351, its comfy for what it is, but hey its no 5 series BMW
Beware of rust!!! the XA - XC range is not known for their rust prevention.
I think all autos in the v8 XC range was a C4, please anyone correct me if im wrong?
Im pretty sure all XC V8s had power steering, unless someone took it out.
The Fairmont GXL is the best of the range in the 4 doors, they are the ones with the square headlights.
Engines and gear boxes are not hard to replace, rebuild, its the rust thats the main problem.

What is it? Sedan or coupe. Sedan's don't fetch too many $, coupes do.

Adelaide to Perth? Depends on the config of the car. I wouldn't want to do it with 4.11's. I'd go insane.
