just wondering how hard and expencive it is to convert a carbie XF to fuel injection setup?
would i be able to do at home or is it BIGGER than that?

from all accounts its not worth it,, the xf injection system was primative and plagued with problems,,
it would involved rewiring the engine bay, dash and bolting up all the injection gear etc etc, for the effort you can almost drop in a 4l ohc,,, better to tune up the carby, or go for an aftermarket carb and inlet manifold, cheaper and easier and you'll have less trouble with it -mitch

carby is cheaper 2 run .plus less 2 go wrong.

yup..... i've got an EFI XF Ghia, and many times i've considered changing to a carby......

mate its a massive job for such a mild upgrade. if your going to go to the hassle of a new engine and wiring looms put a 4.0ltr OHC engine in it

hmm, i thoght about the 4.0L conversion, ive got a spare motor sitting in a trailer, however a few weeks ago i went to the mechanic (about my eb) and noticed he was putting one into his cousins car, and he said that wasnt worth it. he said that would cost around $2500. and i dont think that was including the motor.
wouldnt $2500 be better spent someother way on the 250?
