hey guys, just wondering if it is possible to swap the standard xf instrument cluster for a xf fairmont ghia digital cluster? the odo/tripmeter on my cluster is stuffed and i can get a good cond digital cluster cheap from a mate, i was just wondering if my wiring harness would support it by default etc?

also if i need any other sender units or anything, which ones do i need?

thanks in advance :D

You`re right to plug straight in, just need to swap the oil pressure switch with a sender. 2 minute job on pass` side of block, at the back.

2 downsides are you wont have the "lamps on" light if you leave the lights on with the key off and you wont have a clock...both these are on the ghia trip computer.

The upside is the odometer and trip meter will work for as long as the cluster works...

lol nah not exactly :P

didnt end up getting the electronic dash today, hopefully tomorrow.

i spent most of the day playing with the exhaust and extractors, fine tuning the timing and had to put in a new kick down cable for the gearbox >.< the last two days have been spent cleaning out the engine bay etc and dropping in the new motor and trans.

goes well now for a $300 car ^_^

what better way to spend the chrissy break eh? covered in grease with a beer fridge near by!
