Need a bit help ,Ive loosened the spark plugs and tightened up the fan belt on 250 pre x, but for some reason i cant turn the motor so i can line up the bolts to the flywheel and converter .....now im thinking is the motor seized.....but the bloke who i bought it off said it was a good runner..any advice would be great ..........and it looks sooooooo nice all painted blue and red...ps it has been sitting for about 12 months

put a socket and breaker bar on the harmonic balancer bolt and see if you can rotate it that way.. just go clockwise otherwise you may just undo the bolt..lol.
it should rotate fairly easy without plugs in it.... |

Is the torque convertor located on the tangs of the pump correctly so it will slide all the way back into the gearbox?
If its not fitted right it can sit proud and jam the motor up.

It will go together like nothing is wrong but jam up when you go to turn it over. Did it seem tight to pull the motor and box together or did it just slip together?

Actually it was hard to do up the bolts ..say the last 3/8inch .....maybe i should pull the motor out and start again as i have never done this b4 whats another week added onto 3 years hey.......do you think i should take the engine brackets off to help keep it square with the gear box......also how far can i jack up the gear box to sort of help with the angle ......sorry about the long ?'s still learnin' at 55 lol thanx again mick |
