Hi my brother has a XA and was wondering wat sort of price he would be looking for a sale.
Heres the spec.

1972 XA fairmont
351 clevland engine (rebuilt less than 1000k)
top loader engine
indy short shifter
body deep red metallic paint in A1 cond.
interior in excellent condition
mag wheels with 95% tread

This car has been garaged since he brought it and has not been driven regularly for over 6 years.
He doesnt want to part with it however if receives good offer would consider due to financial need!!!

Your help would be greatly appreciated in helping price this great car.

hardtops are quite rare now, especially the XA, they only made them for one year, 1972 i believe. They rust quite bad so a good example with a 351, would fetch good $$$.
try looking at tradingpost.com.au or carpoint for some ideas on prices, even the unique cars magazine should give you a fair idea.

was it originally a manual though? a replacement gearbox doesnt really mean much, substituting an auto for a manual or vice-versa kills originality

hardtop=2 doors, sedan=4 doors
