Hey guys,looking to put power windows in my xf. I'm in the middle of putting an Ef interior in it. Just wondering if any XH's came out with power windows? If so should I just grab some xh regulators and wire them up to Futura power window switches (don't want window switches on the door) or should I try and fit Ef regulators?

mate im trying to update my xg to power windows as well but its near immposible to find xf power window regulators that work,any 1 know were to get them without paying ridicolous $$$,or ill just have to custom fit eb or au regulators

Yeah, bit of a shame they balls up all the pics in my tech doc:
documents.php?d=81 . Pretty much covered how to overhaul the motors.

The correct "kits" to redo the motors are available on ebay - not expensive, and include both the 3 rollers, and the driven gear. Fairly cheap.
If your putting the EL Console etc in, use the EF/EL front power window harness and switches. If you use the EF/EL wiring (little bit of work) it will work fine. You could also use XE or XD Power window wiring as the switches were in the console too. I have EB/NC Ghia console in my XF with the EB Switches and it works a treat Nigel |
