Hi, newbie to Fordmods.

Bought a Xe ute a few months back off a mate who put it in ashed of a panel beater for three years. never got round doing it he bought an XR8 ute and has lost interest, so i get it cheap.

The bloke he bought it off spent 5 g's on the 302c, slotted it in and drove it for a month and sold it to my mate.
He drove it around for a 2 months got it running sweet (some flash dizzy, and dyno'd and tuned ( 218rw/kw ), El 17 alloys, Spent heaps and then decided it was time for a respray and there she sat. :roll:

So i got it for 2 and half and its gettin sprayed this week. Beutifull

1. First Job is to siter oner guts, so i was wondering what do people recommend, Im after looks and handleing.

2. Second job is insall a tacho, and a question Do tachos hook up to the coil or somewhere else i gess it would be easy to whack one in, is there any paticular one i should get. Dont want a shift light too flash.

That'll do for now, can't wait

A set of lowered front coils and get the rear leaf springs reset should do the trick. If you want cheap and nasty use lowering blocks on the rear, but check the legality of these in your state.

Understand all all that , I should've been more specific.
What type of spings and shocks do people recommend and are they easy to do yourself, What is the best process?
I've had experience with Pedders before and KYB, is there any others to concider? And sway bars too, What type? Want it to handle well

I work at a Pedders agent, so I may be biased! Have fitted plenty to customers cars, and my own, and I would recommend them to anyone.
Id fit Gas Sports Ryder shocks F&R and Sports Ryder coils up front. Then get the rear springs reset.

In your sign it says your running a C4! why would you need a tacho?

I run C4 with shift kit and drive by tacho all the time.

Best bet is to get an Spak dash comes with tacho. (not as acurate as a monster, but not as wanky either) Your ute is already wired up for it, all you have to do is plug the dash in and plug the wire onto the coil and your away. You will have to block of the line for the factory econoguage tho.

does it have to be a V8 s-pack dash or is the 6 the same and is it easy.
