Want to know what would be the best thing for modifing or any handy hints for my Ford Falcon xf 87 ute it has a 250 cross flow, carby, colum shift 3 speed auto and all the rest is just standard

start with the exhaust dude that's the best bang for bucks mod lower it but buy springs don't just chop the stock ones you can get full set of springs for like $200

hey just updating i have lowerd the xf ute i have gottern the head shaved and i also need a new cam shaft and i was thinking just a mild tuned one for $240- so i don't know how the turbo would go with that and would i need to get a cert if i put a turbo in it cause they aren't standard with one are they and what sort of diff and gearbox would suit it best i was thinking one from an xb-xc and money is no object for me cause i want to do this thing up to the max but i don't want to change to much in it and i was thinking also of putting thermo fans in it to get rid of that dam clutch fan and if anyone knows any good place's to go to get ford parts that would be a great help thanx

Put a 4 or 5 speed in it change the diff to an LSD disc braker a cheap set of extractors, exhaust and a better manifold with a home built 350 holley.
I think most of these parts grow on trees and it will be a totally different car , i have most of those parts just sitting around in the shed collected over time.

forget the carbie, go for xf fuel injection.easy enough to install and cheap. better for when you want to turbo!

yeah with my xf ute i bought a complete xf ghia and swapped everything over into it
so now my ute is efi,auto,air,steer,cruise,pwr windows,central lock etc i think this is the most cost effective way to build a really nice xf ute |

Use the XF efi hardware and aftermarket ecu.Looks standard, can be tuned to new mods!

G'day
Go an e series conversion! turbo that! t5 gearbox, 3.23 lsd diff That'll go plenty hard enough. Other than that, air bags, big brakes, bodykit, chop top (that might be a little too far )

Hi,if you have the carbi 250.Easy upgrade is the carbi,replace it with a sedan carbi.the difference is the opening of the butterfly.On the sedans they open fully where as the utillities open only partially.Hpe that helps
