Same exterior mods everyone else does, lowering, mags, tints.

As for performance, same general rules apply, exhaust, intake, fuel (carbi EFI?), heads.

x-flow? v8 convert?

His money to waste.
Didn't one of your sons just buy a V8 cause the other did? Now that's a waste. Keeping up with the Jones's under the same roof.

Find a set of cheap Simmon's 16's or knockoff Simmons and throw them on (or even silver steelies), lower it, new exhaust and put some time and effort into the paint, touch it all up with touchup paint then cut n polish.. If you don't have powersteering look into getting that done as these cars can be f**k pigs without p/s. Then find out if a fairmont ghia interior is interchangeable..

- So good but cheap rims (old simmons, silver steelies, 12 slotters)
- Lower
- Exhaust
- Paint touchup and detail
- Power steering
- Ghia interior

All of this stuff can be found very cheap these days..

Yeah i wont be keeping the car long. I hope to stop using it in April cause thats when i get a cheap AU II SR.

I got my turbo blades to go on but silver 12 slotters look the bomb on X series.

I am looking into P/steering atm.

Im also thinking of going a little bit ute style and getting the big bar over the roof with the 4-8 spotties, the big horn's sticker on the back, a CB...every ute needs a CB. And to make some finishing touches...some fairy lights down the side.

I wouldnt bother with the power steering. Steering weight isn't speed dependant and the s**t turning circle makes parking it harder than having no p/steer. There really not that bad to drive without power steering once you get used to it.

yeah it does look gay if its not done right.

I really cant be bothered doing power steering cause i can drive it without it. I also think it makes you a better driver.

My mate has got a ford festiva 99 model and he said its going to be a b**ch to drive without power steering. That without power steering is as easy as our falcons with power steering. But hes a s**t driver cause he dry steers all the time and i hit him when ever he drives my car and does that. I really think if you dry steer you arnt a very good driver.

But i am taking the ute to moonta unless my car gets fixed before that so i will put a CB in just for those areas that dont have Mobile coverage.

I chucked P/S in the XF for the missus...now we have the sportivo, she won`t drive the old bus. was thinking of rebuilding an XD steering box. lighter than XF manual steering...

After driving it without powersteering she would be the one beating you up.

Lol try driving my dads works XF ute, its the biggest pig of a car. Everything on it is dodgy its rooted from carrying truck parts in the back, brakes are an unneccessary safety device apparently aswell. :P

I swear the accelerator pedal is like the on/off switch on a vacuum cleaner.
