OK, sorry if this has been asked before. I am looking at an XG up the road. It needs work, which is fine.
However can some explain to me What panels and doors from other models fit the XG. What electrics from other models go in as well. I can do most elecgtrical stuff if required to modify them. The place has a selection of NA Fairmonts as well. The XG needs the ignition key and loom, LH guard and door, and some TLC. Also it has buckets and I would like to put bench in but it has a T bar auto setup. Is this easy to get around. I have heard that there are some bench with floor shift around. Thanks in advance

Wrong, XF doors do not fit. They have a specific door which is getting hard to get. An XF has the striker attachement bolted to the outside of the door jam, the XG/XH have them internal. They are expensive and getting hard to find. I have a left door in immaculate condition, but postage would be a killer.

The Terrorist is 100% correct.
I have a left hand also XG guard in pretty much perfect condition but once again postage would be a real nail in the coffin.

The sedan boot lock cylinders are also the same as the XG/XH door ones - obviously you want to match everything up to one key.The XG/XH door lock and strikers are the same as above - include from the tibbe lock EAII's. You'll need to train the different ign lock to smartlock as well - use the diagnosis connector to do this as they'll be no boot switch. i don't know if this post is dead but the front guards off an xf fit (just have to cut hole for blinker and swap the plastic bit over) so does bumper and bonnet. all of these are currently on my xg. i also have an ignition barrel for sale to anyone interested, i bought one out of a nf and it does not fit around the steering column so i swapped the switch mechanism as it was faulty, i no longer need this ign barrel because i changed to a switch and button start setup and installed an alarm/immobiliser with central locking
