hi everyone,i might be wasting my time or it may be posted before, here are some pic`s of some simple mods i made to the sway bar mounts of my xf ute to fit a au 6cyl without chopping the front of the sump.1st,u will need a xg ute sway bar, also e-series sway bar d bush-brackets.have the sway bar fitted at the link pins then move it forward untill in hits the bracket where the caster rod is.bring it back aroung 5mm and using the e-series bracket on the original bush mark the 4 holes for the bolts.drill holes around 8mm.u will have to use some washers front and rear of the bolts.about 6mm on the rear bolt and 3mm on the front.i hope this is usefull to people carring out a au engine conversion.here are some pic`s

I see the painter didn't get a sore back painting your car.....LOL.
How come you didn't use a plate/flat bar to attach the sway bar????
The flat bar having 3 holes in it, 2 for the original holes, and a bit for where the hole is for the sway to attach to.....would be stronger.
Not crititsing, just pointing out a better and safer way of doing it, thats all.

haha,i was the painter!.I didn`t use flat bar because i didn`t see the need too,but i like your idea.hopefully someone can read this and say ok, au engine into a xf or xg is no problem and no sump mods and we will also use the steel plate idea from cjh!
