Torque = (Horsepower * 5252) / RPM

This is an american formula so will all be imperial.

So, lets say engine hp is 400 @ 5000RPM

Torque = 2,100,800 / 5000
= 420 foot-pounds

Substitute the correct RPM in there and you should be on the mark.

Newton metres should be around 0.74 ft/lb so 1 ft/lb = 1.3558Nm

In the above example, 400 hp @ 5000rpm will be 570Nm

Just remember, peak horsepower will not be at the same point as peak torque.
