i got under the ute and checked the fuel lines but no leaks

check to see if the fuel cap is on tight.

on mine when you throw it around corners the fuel cap allows fuel to leak out down the side of the ute, leaving a trail of fuel behind on the paintwork and a strong petrol smell.

good luck

i'd be inclined to take the air cleaner off start the car and watch for leaks, especially around the fuel pump and carby, thats where i normally find them
