hey all,

ive got a mate who has an '89 XF stocker 6cyl carbie engine and he wants to drop an efi 6cyl engine in it, but wants something smooth, reliable and economical.

does anyone know about this kinda of engine swap; ie, drivetrain compatibility, engine bay space, mount mods, cost etc?

any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm... theres a few posts about putting E-series motors in XF's... Everything thats hugely different can be taken from an XG ute, cause there an XF with EB inturnals, but you often have the problem of the computer to worry about. But its not overly hard, and its not too pricey, but then again its not free. Cheaper to grab a big a*** holly and a performance intake. Or even get a V8. Though the XF efi isn't too bad, I run it proudly.

Dunno if freight is gunna be worth it but check this out. It has to go. I am sick of it sitting around here! Looked pretty cool on the car and attracted a lot of attention at shows
