heyo,

With petrol prices going up and LPG prices.. well staying at the 40cent mark i've been considering putting putting my Fairlane on gas, from what i understand though the power will drop a bit since it will go from efi to a carby, BUT i have a Eaton M90 roots-type blower,... so i was thinking what if i put both in, less detonation from LPG (thanks to a 104 octan rating) and i can get rid of the restrictive airflow meter.

This is an everyday driver so my main aim is for low-mid range torque (the 250's gots heaps of it, i love it and want more  ) also i was thinking a new cam for this set up as the car has 250km's on the clock, any suggestions on cam type, brand, profile etc?

any1 done similar projects or any comments on things to watch out for?

i just want a bit more go to match the cars looks:

Can be done BUT watch the kind of converter you use - Converter needs to be pressure referenced to carb boost - try looking at GRA's site (Gas Research Aust) - they have many variations and guides on how to do it, what to look out for...

run an impco model E or two model L's or alternatively run one GRA M6 century or 2 B2's
anyway you do it it has to be boost referenced... this is where a balance line comes in, on the front (top what ever) of the converter/s you will see a threaded hole and a button. you will want to seal the button (take it out and thread, plug the whole)
and the balance line goes into the other threaded hole. the other end of the balance line will go to somehwere on your intake (depends on what mixer you are using) or just into something that comes under boost (into intake manifold or something)
im not real sure on a supercharger but with a turbo its more obvious where to connect the balance line (ie. into the mixer if blo thru ot part of the cooler piping... get it?)
what mixer are you using and how you gonna do it, im very interested....
good luck
cheers
