Is it worth stripping the car and acid bathing it, after xmass i will have an xe to play with has some rust not sure how much yet. want to remoe all the rust and replace it with metal not bog.

You might be better of sandblasting it with some fine particled stuff, not the normal sand as that can be a bit harsh. estoration guys over in america actually use bi carb soda i think it is. Strips it back nice and clean, yet doesnt harm the metal. Otherwise, it depends on the cost and how much the car is worth to you. If it has a lot of rust, especially in structural places, it may be an idea to look at getting a more solid donor car to start with?

I would never dip a car. Instead I'd rather strip it by had with chemical paint stripper, or if I was rich I'd get it blasted.

no good acid stripping as it removes all the rust proving and sealing compond in areas that are not accessable and as such can not be replaced leaving your car vulnerable to even more cancer

just hot galv dip and it will never rust again (like boat trailers) paint wont look so hot tho

i wouldnt dip it, get it blasted, cheeper & easyer, & u dont have 2 worry about factory rust proofing.
