hey guys thinking about buying a
- 1987 XF Red Ute (dont know the kms)
- its got no rust straight body but paints a bit screwd
- a gas tank but i dontknow if it works
- one front left shock looks a bit screwed
- T-Bar auto
- needs 4 new tyres
- has no reg or rwc
- about $200-$300 ...

what should i check for...? is it worth it because i know you get some money back on utes

it'll just be a project but i like the idea of an XF with a tray... any1 goa idea of how hard it is to do... and if it would cause any problems with rego...?
i have seen a pic of a Black XG with a tray looked nice... i'll try find it...

Tis actually an EA. Look at the lack of repeaters and the scuttle panel below the windscreen.

Any way, looks s**t

ok lets see...

seems like the right price to try start a project like that, if it turns out too hard you havent blown too much to start off.

cant imagine it being too hard to cut the back off then have an alloy tray, or maybe a polished wooden tray.

the shock seems like a minor problem, wouldnt hurt to do all new suspension anyway if your serious about the project.
and if the body is straight and no rust a respary shouldnt be too much hassle then (less body work to do to prepare)

hope this helps though i am starting to get drunk.

that ute looks f**k awsome! I'd love an XA-XC flat tray.
would of thought a wagon body would be easier to work with than a sedan as already would have the LWB and the leaf spring a** end.
