hi i was wondering if anyone knows if i need to get the xh engineered for the v8 in it its a march 96 model and the motor/trans is out of a 95 fairlane everything out of the lane bar the abs will be swaped over its just that one mob is saying u do and other you dont ohh btw its in nsw

Its questionable.
Officially the V8 didnt come out in the XH until the series 2 so technically yes you do need to have it engineered for your model. But the RTA has spec sheets that shows the XH was available with the V8 from day one so it is questionable. One of the reasons I didnt proceed with my conversion.

ok well i will try and get onto an engineer in dubbo hopefully and see what the go is if anyone else know please help

ok so i got onto the rta this morning and i finally got the answer i was looking for i talked to the techie and he wanted myadr aprovall number (11199) the xh come with the v8 as an opional extra so it can be done no engineering required thank god lol so if u need any info just get onto the rta and ask for a data sheet on your car just quote the aprovall number
